Emotional Resilience and How We Foster It

Emotional resilience is the ability to adapt and bounce back from challenging or stressful situations. It involves the capacity to experience and process a wide range of emotions while maintaining a sense of well-being and balance. Building emotional resilience is crucial for navigating the ups and downs of life, as it allows individuals to effectively cope with adversity, maintain their mental health, and evolve with the realities of life today.

Developing emotional resilience, especially after a traumatic event, requires a safe space to be with uncomfortable emotions long enough to process them through our bodies and allow them to release. As coach facilitators, we foster emotional resiliency by sharing our Guidelines for Authentic Learning. These guidelines help participants’ brains agree to support individuals in staying safe and present within themselves before uncomfortable emotions arise. Once trust in both the facilitator and the space that coaching provides is established, we use an emotional awareness technique, The C.I.F.T. tool and The Four Things You Can Control™ to assist our clients in learning and practicing and implementing healthy habits of responding to their emotions.

Without addressing and releasing the emotions tied to trauma or any unwanted situation where emotions have been stored, progress and peace of mind will be a struggle.

Our coaches are trained in guiding people through the process of releasing emotions and developing healthy habits of processing them. Some of our coaches include licensed therapists, physical therapists, and social workers, while others are teachers and empathetic individuals who have realized the benefits and mastered strategies to develop and maintain mental, emotional, and relationship health. Our founder, Patty Jackson, works with patients from the Lake Area Free Clinic, serving clients throughout Waukesha County.

We believe in providing awareness, education, and tools to understand, accept, and skillfully respond to all emotions. We accomplish this through our proprietary Energy Bubbles visuals, proven step-by-step tools, and universally recognized coaching skills and strategies.

By implementing these strategies, individuals develop the necessary skills to cultivate emotional resilience. It is a continuous process that requires practice and support. By fostering emotional resilience, we empower individuals to navigate life’s challenges with strength, adaptability, and a greater sense of well-being.
